Hi! I'm Julia, an award-winning healthcare associate creative director and copywriter who loves to solve problems as much as I love to make the solution sound beautiful and concise.
I've always been drawn to healthcare and helping people, so when I started working as a Pharmaceutical Copywriter/Medical Writer at Klick in 2018, I knew I had found my calling. At Klick, I built a solid niche writing for both healthcare professional (HCP) and patient/consumer (DTC) audiences (90/10 split). I wrote HCP-facing materials like digital interactive sales aids (ISAs/IVAs), websites, emails (campaign and iRep/Veeva-Approved Emails), print journal ads, and leave-behinds. I also created DTC pieces like banners ads, websites, and social media posts. Drug launches, tight timelines, feedback from editors, questions from designers, negotiation with MedReg, and never-ending acronyms quickly became second nature.
In 2021, after mentoring new writers and taking on leadership training at Klick, I officially took on a management role as Associate Creative Director at Grey Health. While working there on HCP and DTC (80/20 split), I've managed a team of HCP and DTC copywriters and medical writers; powered through drug launches; worked closely with voice actors and sound engineers (I was once called "Eagle Ears"); and developed a huge range of assets including websites, IVAs, leave-behinds, emails, journal ads, reprint carriers, congress panels, disease state awareness (DSA/DSE) materials, TV ads, patient brochures, billboards, brand books, fact sheets, and countless other assets.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me sewing clothes out of natural fibres, playing board games, or paddleboarding on a lake somewhere.
